Gianni di Gregorio (writer, director and star of 2009's surprise summer hit, 'Mid August Lunch' as well as co-writer of Italian crime classic 'Gomorrah') plays a dutiful middle-aged son in this charming comedy.
60-year-old Gianni seems to have a meek existence consisting of running errands for his wife and generally being at the beck and call of his ancient mother - the aristocratically coiffed Valeria who's swiftly draining Gianni's inheritance on poker and expensive champagne. But when Gianni he hears about his friend Alfonso’s sexual escapades, Gianni ponders whether he is ready to give up on the idea of one last romantic adventure.

★★★★ "This thoroughly delightful Italian comedy by screenwriter-turned-auteur Gianni Di Gregorio is a kind of romantic realist-fantasia with Fellini in its DNA, and a little of Woody Allen" - Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
