Jella Haase and Lena Klenke are compelling in writer-director Leonie Krippendorff’s rhapsodic LGBT drama.
Falling in love was never on the cards. Nora (Haase), a shy Berlin girl, was always hanging in the shadow of her older sister, with no experiences to call her own. Reluctantly she tries to fit in with her sisters friends, image obsessed girls who crave the attention of immature guys who think insults are the best way to a girl’s heart. But when Nora meets Romy (Klenke), life suddenly feels very different. Confident and unapologetic, Romy walks to the beat of her own drum and Nora instantly falls for her, discovering an exciting new world. Now she knows why life is worth living.
